Baseball memorabilia, collectible and antique coins, and jewelry, altogether worth about $7,000, recently were stolen from a home in the 1200 block of Forest Trails Court in the Fenton area. The theft was reported May 13, but the victim said the items could have been stolen anytime between January 1 and that date, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
In addition to the baseball memorabilia, stolen items included hundreds of uncirculated coins and antique silver coins, as well as earrings, diamond necklaces and wedding rings. As of Thursday (June 2), none of the items had been recovered, said Lt. Gary Higginbotham of the Sheriff’s Office.
The victim said she suspected someone who had previously stayed at the home was involved in the theft. As of Thursday, however, the Sheriff’s Office had not identified a suspect, and no arrests had been made, Higginbotham said.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
