Tools and equipment valued at more than $5,000 were stolen from work trailers at a construction site near Moss Hollow Road and Fountain Drive in Barnhart. The incident occurred between 5 p.m. Feb. 26 and 7 a.m. Feb. 27, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
It looked like someone cut locking hinges off Riebold Construction trailers and made off with a variety of construction equipment and tools. As of March 8, none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said.
