The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of trailers, lawn mowers and other items from a home in the 2700 block of English Road in the Jefferson County portion of Pacific. The combined value of the stolen property was estimated at $43,200, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The theft was reported July 12, after the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office recovered an enclosed trailer and a dump trailer that were stolen from the home in Jefferson County. A John Deere mower, Exmark mower, several tools, two table saws, a paint sprayer, security cameras, multiple ladders, chain saws, air compressors, more than 20 boxes of ceramic tile, more than 20 solar panels and a trimmer also allegedly were stolen from the home, and they had not been recovered, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said July 28.
It looked like someone had forced open the front door to the home and stole the items. In addition, an excavator outside the home was tampered with, and it appeared someone had tried to steal that, too, according to a report.
Bissell said a person of interest had been identified, but no arrests had been made.
