Appliances, toilets, faucets and other items worth about $11,000 recently were stolen from a construction site in the 300 block of Harbor Bluff Drive in the Fenton area, where a home is being built, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The theft occurred between 4 p.m. Oct. 27 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 28, while construction crews were away from the site, the report said.
Stolen items included a stainless steel Bosch dishwasher; a stainless steel Sharp microwave; a stainless steel double oven; a black Whirlpool electric cooktop; a garbage disposal; four white Mansfield toilets; a variety of stainless steel and brushed nickel faucets; and two boxes of cultured stone, according to the report.
A construction worker showed up at the site and found the front door open and the garage door unlocked and contacted the victim and 911, the report said.
A deputy viewed surveillance footage from the area and was able to verify the timeline the construction worker reported. Also, the deputy saw a white utility van enter the subdivision and then exit during the period the items were stolen, according to the report.
As of Nov. 2, the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
