About $20,000 in jewelry recently was stolen from a home in the 4600 block of Skyview Drive in the Arnold area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Approximately 30 ruby or diamond rings were stolen sometime between Oct. 30, 2013, and Feb. 28, the report said.
The victim told deputies she realized April 10 that her jewelry box was missing.
She said two relatives had been living with her and she suspects one of them may have stolen the jewelry, according to the report.
There were no signs of forced entry and nothing else in the home was missing or tampered with, the report said.
The jewelry had not been recovered and no arrests had been made as of Thursday (April 17), said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
He urges anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
