2020 POKER BASH

The fifth annual Big Dawg’s Poker Bash will be held at noon May 16 at Brookdale Farms, 8004 Twin Rivers Road. 

A poker tournament to raise money for the Eureka Police Officers Support Fund will be held Sunday, March 27.

The sixth annual Big Dawg’s Poker Bash starts at noon Sunday in the Silo Pointe venue at Brookdale Farms, 8004 Twin Rivers Road, in the Jefferson County portion of Eureka.

Eureka Police Officers Support Fund founder Chuck Maher the event features a Texas Hold ’em tournament, 50-50 drawings and a silent auction.

Tickets are priced at $50 in advance or $60 the day of the tournament and include soda, beer and lunch. The tournament is scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m.

“It’s the largest fundraiser we do for the support fund,” said Maher, the owner and broker of Realty Executives Premiere. “People enjoy coming out. Last year there were about 155 players.”

Maher said last year’s event attracted about 200 people and collected just under $50,000.

Maher said proceeds from the bash are used to fund scholarships for officers’ children and help cover the cost of Eureka Police equipment.
