The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will hold a public meeting from 4-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Windsor High School concerning its Hwy. 61-67 Corridor Study. Windsor High is located at 949 Windsor Harbor Road in Imperial.
The meeting will have an open-house format, with no formal presentation.
In a written statement, MoDOT officials said the public is invited to learn about the study, comment on existing conditions along the corridor, discuss transportation needs and opportunities and review and provide input on potential corridor improvement.
The study concerns potential traffic and safety improvements to Hwy. 61-67 from Hwy. 231 (in Arnold) to Hwy. Z (in Pevely).
“(Hwy. 61-67) is a vital regional corridor that serves residents, businesses, commuters, and visitors traveling through and within Jefferson County. This study will take a comprehensive look at how the roadway functions today and how it can better serve the community in the future,” according to the statement.
