Kimmswick will begin celebrating the holidays on Saturday, Nov. 20, with its Christmas Open House and Parade.
The event is scheduled for from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The parade will start at 11 a.m. at Windsor Elementary School, 6003 Sixth St., and then wind through Kimmswick’s merchants’ district before returning to the school, said Betteane Smith, president of the Kimmswick Merchants Association.
Santa Claus will be part of the parade procession. After the march through town, he will be available from 1-8 p.m. near the Kimmswick Visitor Center, 314 Market St., and people may take their own photographs for free. However, Santa will take a brief break from at 4:45 p.m. to help light the town’s Christmas tree.
Free horse-drawn trolley rides also will be available from 2-8 p.m.
