The Missouri Department of Transportation is scheduled to close Hwy. NN from Hwy. 30 to Hwy. O in west Jefferson County from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. each weekday beginning Monday (June 19). The highway is expected to be closed during the week for several weeks, MoDOT spokeswoman Jessica Hochlan said.
During the closures, crews will replace culvert pipes under the road, MoDOT reported.
“They can do one to three pipes a day depending on how deep they are,” Hochlan said.
She said the crews’ ability to work on the project also depends on the weather.
The work should take at least five weeks and probably longer, Hochlan said.
MoDOT already began working on the project but was able to keep one lane open during part of the job.
When crews close the road on Monday, they will begin work near the intersection of Hwy. NN and Hwy. 30. Next week crews are expected to work between Oak Drive and Little Dutch Creek Road, Hochlan said.
