Chloe Brock of Arnold, who was 2 at the time, took part in the Arnold Chamber of Commerce's annual Easter egg hunt, held last year at Fox High School.

Several Easter egg hunts will be held around the county Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29.

A few of those activities are listed below. But, numerous local churches and organizations will hold other Easter egg hunts and activities over the next couple of weeks, so look in the calendar section of your Leader newspaper for other listings.

Arnold

The Arnold Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Easter egg hunt Saturday, March 28, at the Fox High School football field, 751 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold.

The gate will open at 11 a.m., and the hunt will start promptly at noon.

The hunt is for children ages 1 through 10. Admission is free.

Children will hunt for plastic eggs and will receive treats and prizes.

Bicycles will be given away in each age category.

The Easter Bunny will be on hand, so parents are encouraged to bring cameras.

Typically, 2,000 or so children turn out for the event, and thousands of plastic eggs are scattered about for children to collect.

Kimmswick

In Kimmswick, children younger than 8 are invited to participate in an Easter egg hunt, to be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, at Market and Third streets.

Eggs will be filled with candy and prizes.

Admission is free.

The Kimmswick merchants are sponsoring the event.

Antonia Fire

Another Easter egg hunt will be held Saturday at the Antonia Fire Protection District House 2, 6633 Moss Hollow Road in Barnhart.

At 10:30, children may have their photos taken with the Easter Bunny, followed by the egg hunt.

Fire equipment will be on display, too.

Admission is free.

Pevely

An Easter egg hunt will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Stacy Reece Veterans Memorial Park next to the Pevely Elementary School.

The hunt is for children ages 1 to 10, and children will hunt for eggs in four age groups.

Free admission.

Cash awards will be handed out. Also, the Easter Bunny will be on hand for photos.

Herculaneum

In Herculaneum, an adult Easter egg hunt will be held Saturday, and another one will be held for children on Sunday.

The adult Easter egg hunt will be at the Herculaneum City Park, 850 Joachim Ave. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and the hunt starts at 8 p.m.

The event is open to those 16 and older. The cost is $7.50 in advance and $10 at the gate. Advance tickets may be purchased at Herculaneum City Hall, 1 Parkwood Court.

Drawings will be held, and prizes will be awarded. Participants are asked to bring baskets and flashlights.

In case of rain, the event will be held Saturday, April 4.

The Easter egg hunt for children will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Herculaneum City Park. It is open to children up to 12 years old, and they will hunt for eggs in five age categories.

Admission is free. Prizes will be awarded.

Children should bring baskets, and parents may bring cameras to take photos of children with the Easter Bunny.
