Eureka Days kicks off at 5 tonight (Sept. 8) and runs through 5 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 10). The three-day event in Eureka’s downtown area and Lions and Legion parks will feature plenty of staples from the past along with some new twists.

Carnival rides will be running all three days in the community center parking lot and there will be live music performances throughout the weekend, including tonight’s concert by That 80s Band. The concert is slated to start at 7:30 p.m. and end at 10:30 p.m.

The Eureka Lions Club 13th annual Run for Sight will start the festivities at 7 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 9), leading into the Eureka Days Parade that will step off from Central Avenue at Third Street at 10 a.m. The event’s second day wraps up with a concert by the Well Hungarians, which is slated to run from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

This year, the Eureka Days lineup includes activities on Sunday, after a brief absence from the event. On Sunday, the cost for carnival rides will be discounted to $1

Other new additions this year are the Artisan Fair, Farmer’s Market and seven food trucks available from noon to 5 p.m.
