A benefit Derby and Cinco Party will be held beginning at noon Saturday (May 5) at the Delta Queen Port of Call Restaurant, 6035 Second St., in Kimmswick.
Proceeds will benefit Kimmswick Alderman Gary Paszkiewicz and his family. Paszkiewicz, 57, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Activities will include a cake walk, 50/50 drawing, auctions, Derby race betting and Derby and Cinco-themed food drinks and entertainment.
Paszkiewicz has served on the Kimmswick Board of Aldermen since 2013, when he was appointed to replace Luke Levine, and then Paszkiewicz was re-elected to the seat in 2016.
