Job Fair attracts more than 500 prospective employees

The 2019 Job Fair attracted more than 500 prospective employees.

Local job seekers will have the chance to meet with dozens of employers at the third annual Jefferson County Job Fair, scheduled from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, at the Fox C-6 Service Center, 849 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold.

The free event will feature a full slate of 49 employers looking to hire.

“That’s more than we had in 2019,” Leader assistant publisher Peggy Scott said. (The 2020 event was a virtual one due to restrictions on public gatherings because of the COVID-19 pandemic.)

“This is a great opportunity for job seekers to get together with that many companies and businesses that are all eager to hire.”

The Job Fair also will offer job seekers the chance to have experts review their resumes and to get professional social media photos taken – all for free.

In addition, prizes will be awarded during the event.

The Job Fair, presented by Express Employment Professionals, also is sponsored by Leader Publications, the Arnold Chamber of Commerce, the Fox C-6 School District, the city of Arnold and Jefferson College.
