AT&T crews work at Truman Boulevard and Bailey Road in Crystal City.

Repairs at the busy intersection of Truman Boulevard (Hwy. 61-67) and Bailey Road in Crystal City are nearly completed, an AT&T spokesperson reported Tuesday (July 11). During the project, the inner northbound lane on Truman Boulevard has sometimes been closed to traffic.

“AT&T crews have been working along (Hwy. 61-67) at Bailey Road to repair a damaged manhole. This has not affected any AT&T services, but has at times closed a lane for traffic,” Katie Nagus of AT&T said.

The lane was closed during road work between July 5 and July 7 and again on July 10. During the weekend of July 8-9, a steel plate covered the work site.

“The lane is currently open with a temporary steel plate cover, and the steel plate will be removed later this week,” Nagus said. “Once the plate is removed this week all work will be complete. The plate is there so traffic is not impeded while the concrete and mortar sets.”
