The Arnold Recreation Center, 1695 Missouri State Road, will close its outdoor pool after Labor Day weekend.
For those who want to beat the heat at the pool this weekend, it will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday through Monday.
Admission is $6, except for senior citizens who may swim for $5 and children 4 and younger who may swim for free.
Then, the last chance to enjoy the outdoor pool this season will be at the annual Arnold Dog Swim on Saturday, Sept. 7, at the outdoor pool.
Dog owners are invited to bring their “well mannered dogs” to the event so they can enjoy a swim before the pool is drained for the season.
Small dogs (those 35 pounds and under) may swim from noon to 2 p.m., and large dogs may swim from 2-4 p.m.
The cost is $5 a dog. Admission for the owner is free, but $1 will be charged for each guest an owner brings.
Proceeds benefit the city’s two Arnold Paw Parks. One is located in Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road and another in Ferd B. Lang Park on Old Lemay Ferry Road.
