A woman from Franklin County was killed late Saturday evening (Sept. 8) after she was apparently run over by a vehicle while she was lying on Hwy. EE in Morse Mill.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Deborah Potts, 55, of Villa Ridge was lying in the eastbound lane of Hwy. EE west of Morse Mill Road at 11:50 p.m. when she was run over by a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Darrin Denter, 45, of Hillsboro, who then came to a controlled stop and personnel from the Big River Ambulance District arrived at the scene and pronounced the woman dead at 12:07 a.m. on Sunday (Sept. 9).
Denter, who was not reportedly injured, was wearing a seat belt, the report said. His vehicle had minor damage.
