Two women were hurt after they were struck by a pickup Saturday evening (Dec. 17) while standing on the side of Hwy. 21 south of Hwy. 141 in the Springdale area between Arnold and Fenton.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Carrol Goslick, 54, and Amy Laughlin, 27, both of St. Louis, were standing on the right shoulder of Hwy. 21 near a 2004 Ford Escape that was stopped at 9:50 pm. when a northbound 1999 Dodge Dakota driven by Joshua Landholt, 34, of Festus skidded off the road, hit the Ford and then both women.
Landholt was not hurt but the two women sustained moderate injuries and were taken by car to St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, the report said.
Updates on their conditions were not available.
Landholt was wearing a seat belt, the report said. His Ford had minor damage in the collision while the Dodge had moderate damage, the report said.
