Two women, one from Sullivan and the other from Richwoods, were injured Tuesday morning (Feb. 16) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 30 east of County Line Road north of Grubville in Jefferson County just east of Franklin County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 8:20 a.m., Lea M. Tourville, 57, of Sullivan was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 west on the highway and traveled into the eastbound lane, where the pickup hit an eastbound 2016 Nissan Altima head-on. After the collision, both vehicles ran off the south side of the road, the report said.

Shannon N. Menees, 21, of Richwoods was driving the Altima.

Tourville was seriously injured, and Menees was moderately injured, and both were taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where Tourville was listed in good condition today (Feb. 17) and Menees was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

Tourville was not wearing a seat belt, and Menees was wearing one, the patrol reported.

Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.
