Two teenagers – one from Fenton and the other from Cedar Hill – were hurt in a two-vehicle accident that happened at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday (May 21) on Hwy. MM at Town and Country Lane in House Springs, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Joseph D. Mader, 17, of Cedar Hill was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 north on Hwy. MM and slowed for traffic and then changed lanes to avoid striking a vehicle before traveling into the path of a southbound 2007 GMC Yukon driven by Wendi B. Good, 41, of Cedar Hill, the report said.
The Ford pickup struck the front of the SUV, according to the report.
Both Mader and a passenger in the pickup – Logan D. Maddox, 16, of Fenton – sustained moderate injuries and were taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where they were treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
No injuries were reported for Good.
Mader, Maddox and Good were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Ford pickup was totaled and the Yukon sustained extensive damage, the report said.
