A De Soto woman and a Park Hills man were hurt Monday afternoon (Nov. 5) in a two-vehicle accident on Upper Plattin Road east of Concord Drive in the De Soto area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 4:10 p.m., Christla A. Gore, 57, of Park Hills was driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty west on Upper Plattin Road and while he was trying to negotiate a right curve, applied the brakes, and the Jeep slid on the wet pavement and then the front left side of it struck the front left side of an eastbound 2018 Ford Escape driven by Chelsea A. Chrisholm, 25, of De Soto.
Both drivers had minor injuries and were taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where they were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
The two were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were moderate damaged, according to the report.
