Two people, one from High Ridge and the other from Florissant, were injured Monday afternoon, June 13, in a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. PP and Shady Lane between Byrnes Mill and High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 3:49 p.m., Nathan T. Hochthurn, 29, of Eureka was driving an eastbound 2004 Volkswagen Jetta and struck the back of an eastbound 2010 Ford Escape driven by Pamela D. Bradshaw, 24, of High Ridge. The Escape overturned into a ditch off the right of the road, and the Jetta ran off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox and a tree, the report said.

Bradshaw was moderately injured, and a passenger in the Escape – Joshua D. Rogers, 23, of Florissant – had minor injuries. Both were taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where they were treated and released, a hospital spokesperson said.

Hochthurn was wearing a seat belt and Bradshaw and Rogers were not wearing them, the patrol reported.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged, the report said.
