Two people from High Ridge were hurt in a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon (Sept. 18) west of Linn Creek in Camden County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Jeffrey Burnett, 51, was riding a 2017 Victory Highball motorcycle west on Hwy. A west of Lowell Williams Road at 1 p.m. when he locked the motorcycle’s brakes to avoid a vehicle in the road. The motorcycle skidded and went of the right side of the road and overturned, throwing off both Burnett and a passenger, Yvonne Biedauer Burnett, 46.
The driver sustained moderate injuries and the passenger minor injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, the report said.
Updates on their conditions were not available.
Jeffrey Burnett was not wearing a helmet, or at least not a Department of Transportation-approved one, and Yvonne Biedauer Burnett was wearing one, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle was moderately damaged, the report said.
