Two people from Jackson were injured in a two-vehicle traffic accident Saturday afternoon (March 21) on Hwy. 141 at Hwy. 21 in the Springdale area between Arnold and Fenton.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Mary Rehg, 73, of St. Louis was driving a 2013 Honda CRV south on Hwy. 141 in the left lane at 3:42 p.m. when she attempted to make a left turn onto Hwy. 21 but went the wrong way on an exit ramp. Her car was struck on the right side by a northbound 2011 Nissan Versa driven by James Campbell, 54, of Jackson, the report said.
Campbell and a passenger in the Nissan, Connie Campbell, 62, also of Jackson, both suffered moderate injuries and both were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said. The report made no mention of an injury to Rehg.
An update on the Campbells’ conditions was not available.
All involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the report said. Both vehicles had moderate damage.
