traffic accident 2 patrol patch

Two people from Dittmer, including a 9-year-old girl, were hurt in a two-vehicle traffic accident Friday evening (June 2) on Hwy. 30 at Hwy. BB in Cedar Hill.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Jake Govro, 18, of Cedar Hill was driving a 2008 Pontiac GS east at 11 p.m. and failed to stop for a steady red traffic light at the intersection and struck the left side of a northbound 2015 Ford Fusion driven by Jessica Kossuth, 39, of Dittmer.

Govro was not injured in the accident, but Kossuth sustained serious injuries and a passenger in her car, Isabell Boker, 9, also of Dittmer, had minor injuries. Both were taken by Big River Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County.

Kossuth was listed in good condition on Sunday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said; Boker had been treated and released.

All three involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the report said. Both vehicles were totaled.
