Two Festus teenagers were hurt this morning (Sept. 7) in a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. TT north of Burley Road in the Festus area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

At 7:55 a.m., Jacob R. Graves, 17, was driving a 1988 Dodge Dakota north on Hwy. TT, and the pickup ran off the east side of the road, struck a tree and overturned, the report said.

Graves and a passenger in the pickup, Jason W. Pruitte, 16, sustained moderate injuries and were taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, according to the report.

Graves was wearing a seat belt, but Pruitte was not wearing one, the patrol reported.

The pickup was totaled, the report said.
