Four Jefferson County residents and an Illinois man were hurt Thursday evening (July 30) in a three-vehicle accident on Metropolitan Boulevard south of Engle Creek Road in Barnhart, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5 p.m., Andrew J. Quick, 31, of Festus was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram north on Metropolitan Boulevard and while attempting to turn left, pulled into the path of a southbound 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, which struck the Ram. Then, a northbound 2014 Volkswagen Passat struck the rear of the Ram, and the Silverado crossed the center of the road and struck a guardrail, the report said.
Jimmy D. Harrison Jr., 51, of Cottage Hills, Ill., was driving the Silverado, and Gabrielle N. Tucker, 20, of Festus was driving the Passat.
Quick had minor injuries, and Harrison and Tucker were moderately injured. In addition, a passenger in the Ram – Andrea N. Estes, 32, of Festus – and a passenger in the Passat – Justin T. Scott, 21, of Barnhart – had minor injuries, the report said.
Quick and Estes were taken by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where they were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Harrison and Tucker were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where Harrison was listed in satisfactory condition today (July 31), and Tucker was treated and released, the spokesman said.
Scott was taken by private conveyance to Mercy South, where he was treated and released, the spokesman said.
