A Park Hills man was hurt early this morning (July 31) when the tractor-trailer he was driving went off the side of Hwy. 67 south of Hwy. V in Valles Mines and overturned, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 3 a.m., John E. Thebeau, 55, was driving a 2010 International Harvester Prostar north on Hwy. 67, and the tractor-trailer went off the right side of the road and hit two reflector posts and a traffic sign before running off the left side of the highway, where it struck the median and overturned on its left side, the report.

He was moderately injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

Thebeau was wearing a seat belt, the report said.

The tractor-trailer was totaled, according to the report.
