Three young men from Cadet suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident late Thursday (May 26) on Hwy. 21 in Washington County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
According to the patrol, Cody Reed, 18, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro north on Hwy. 21 just south of Peppersville Road near Washington State Park south of De Soto at 10:15 p.m. when he drove off the right side of the road and struck several trees. Reed and a passenger in the car, Brandon Goff, 20, both were thrown from the car.
Goff, Reed and another passenger, Justin Sampson, 19, all were taken by Washington County ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, according to the report
Reed was treated and released, a Mercy Hospital Jefferson spokesman said, while Goff and Sampson were later taken by Joachim-Plattin ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur.
Sampson was listed in serious condition early Friday afternoon (May 27) and Goff was in fair condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Goff was wearing a seat belt but Reed and Sampson were not, the patrol reports. The Camaro was totaled, according to the report.
