An Imperial resident was injured in a wreck involving three cars Wednesday evening (Sept. 6) on Hwy. M at Moss Hollow Road in Barnhart, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:30 p.m., Anthony G. Saggio, 17, of Imperial, in a 2005 Mitsubishi Galant, was stopped in the crossover on Hwy. M at Moss Hollow Road while Douglas A. Junkins, 32, of Hillsboro was driving a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country west in the right lane of Hwy. M and Rochelle M. Krupp, 47, of Imperial, in a 2008 Toyota Camry, was stopped on southbound Moss Hollow waiting to turn right onto Hwy. M, the report said.
While crossing westbound Hwy. M, the Galant traveled into the path of the Town and Country, and the front of the Town and Country struck the right front of the Galant. After the collision, the Town and Country ran off the right side of the road and struck the left corner of the Camry, and then the Camry ran off the right side of the road and down a small embankment, the patrol reported.
Krupp was moderately injured and taken by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County and treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Galant and Town and Country were extensively damaged, and the Camry moderately damaged, the report said.
