Steven M. Benns, 50, of De Soto was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon, July 5, in a utility vehicle accident at 21225 Hwy. A in Washington County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
He was riding a southbound 2021 Force Z950 UTV on private property, where the vehicle overturned onto its top, the report said.
Benns was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where he was listed in serious condition Thursday, July 6, a Mercy spokesman said.
He was not wearing a helmet, or at least not a Department of Transportation-approved one, the patrol reported.
The four-wheeler sustained minor damage, the report said.
