A St. Louis woman was seriously hurt Wednesday morning (March 25) in a two-vehicle accident at Old Hwy. 141 and Samarra Estates Drive in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 11:43 a.m., Suhra Suljic, 63, of St. Louis was in a westbound 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, attempting to make a left turn, and the driver of a northbound 1998 Chevrolet Silverado failed to yield to the Malibu, striking it on the driver’s side, the report said.
A 32-year-old Fenton woman was driving the Silverado. No injuries were reported for her.
Suljic was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in critical condition today (March 26), a hospital spokesman said.
She and the other driver were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
Both the Malibu and the Silverado were totaled, the report said.
