A St. Louis man was hurt Aug. 21 in a two-vehicle accident that also involved a Festus man on I-55 north of Lindbergh Boulevard in St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 10:05 p.m., Dale A. Eggemeyer, 55, of Festus was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado north on I-55, and the pickup hydroplaned and ran off the right side of the road and struck a concrete divider, and then a northbound 2005 Acura MDX hydroplaned in the same area and struck the rear of the pickup, the report said.

Douglas P. Tucker, 45 of St. Louis was driving the MDX. He was moderately hurt and taken by the Mehlville Fire Protection District to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.

No injuries were reported for Eggemeyer.

Both men were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The two vehicles were moderately damaged, the report said.
