A St. Louis man was hurt in a two-car accident that occurred at 2:39 p.m. Thursday (April 7) at Lonedell Road and Hillcrest Drive in the Arnold area, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Jeffrey Laurens, 61, of Fenton was headed west in a 2012 Toyota Prius and while making a left turn, pulled into the path of an eastbound car, and the front of that car struck the right side of the Prius, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Laurens, but a passenger in the Prius – Matthew W. Sinovic, 61, of St. Louis – sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Jacob B. Brockmeyer, 20, of Arnold was driving the eastbound car, a 2003 Mercedes Benz C230. No injuries were reported for him.
All three men involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Prius was extensively damaged, and the Mercedes Benz was totaled, the report said.
