A St. Louis man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after he was involved in a single-car accident late Friday night (April 23) on Hwy. PP in High Ridge.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the 35-year-old man was driving a 2000 Buick Century east on Hwy. PP west of Old Little Antire Road at 11:28 p.m. when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a tree before the car overturned into a creek.
The man suffered moderate injuries and was taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
An update on his condition was not available.
The driver of the car, who will not be named unless he is charged by the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, was arrested by troopers at the hospital on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
He was not wearing a seat belt, the report said. The car was totaled.
