A crash in Barnhart injured two Festus children, two Barnhart teenagers and a Festus man and woman on Hwy. 61-67 at Hwy. M on March 2, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 9:40 p.m., a 15-year-old girl, driving a northbound 2017 Dodge Caravan, made a left turn onto Hwy. M, into the path of a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe driven south by Randall S. Carver, 35, the report said. The Tahoe struck the right side of the Caravan, causing it to overturn.

According to the report, the teenage driver and a 14-year-old passenger were both moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Carver and two juvenile passengers, an 8-year-old girl and a 10-year-old girl, received minor injuries, and another passenger, Brittany N. Carver, 33, was moderately injured, the report said. All four were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.

Randall and Brittany Carver were both treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

According to the report, Randall and Brittany Carver and the 14-year-old female were not wearing seat belts, and the other three juveniles were wearing seat belts.

Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.

Because the teenagers and children are juveniles, the patrol did not release their names.
