A Richwoods man and woman and a St. Clair woman were injured Saturday afternoon, May 25, in a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 30 and Jones Creek Road near Grubville in Jefferson County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2:10 p.m., James S. Butler, 46, of Richwood was driving an eastbound 2018 Nissan Frontier, and Mary M. Pickle, 51, of St. Clair was driving a westbound 2017 Toyota RAV4, and the two vehicles crashed head-on, the report said.
Butler and Pickle were seriously injured and taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, and a passenger in the Frontier – Gracy L. Butler, 52, of Richwoods – sustained minor injuries and was taken by St. Clair Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South, according to the report.
All three were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two vehicles were totaled, the report said.
