A 24-year-old Pevely man was arrested Wednesday, May 24, following a motorcycle accident in the Seckman High School parking lot, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:30 p.m., the man was riding a 2022 Suzuki GSX east in the parking lot and lost control of the motorcycle, which overturned, the report said.
The man was moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
It’s unknown if the man was wearing a helmet, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle was moderately damaged, the report said.
According to the report, the man was arrested at 10:12 p.m. at the hospital for allegedly tampering with a motor vehicle and defacing a vehicle identification number on a motor vehicle.
Cpl. Dallas Thompson of the highway patrol said the motorcycle had been reported stolen, and its VIN had been removed.
The suspect’s name will not be published unless charges are filed against him, and as of today, May 25, no charges had been filed.
