traffic accident 3

An adult and two children, all of Festus, were injured Thursday evening (March 29) in a one-car accident on Hwy. CC north of Becker Drive south of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 6:43 p.m., Lisa M. Summers, 31, of Festus was driving a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer north on Hwy. CC, and the car ran off the right side of the road, struck a culvert pipe and overturned, the report said.

Summers was moderately injured, and two passengers in the car – Gabriel Lotton, 8, and Julian Lotton, 7, both of Festus – sustained minor injures, according to the report.

Summers was taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

JPAD transported the two children to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, which did not return a call for information about their conditions.

The Lancer was totaled, the patrol reported.

Summers was not wearing a seat belt, but the two boys were wearing them, the report said.
