Two people from the Oakville area of south St. Louis County were hurt Friday afternoon (Jan. 22) in a two-vehicle traffic accident at Vogel and Miller roads in Arnold.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Mark Korhammer, 53, of Imperial was driving a 2007 Dodge Nitro west on Vogel Road at 3:50 p.m. and was turning left onto Miller Road through a flashing yellow traffic light when he drove into the path of an eastbound 2007 Honda Civic driven by Tiffany Jennings, 31, of Oakville, who was approaching the intersection with a green light. The front of the Dodge struck the front of the Honda, the report said.

Jennings sustained moderate injuries and a passenger in her car, an 8-year-old girl, had minor injuries, and both were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.

Updates on their conditions were not available.

The report made no mention of an injury to Korhammer.

All involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the report said. The Honda had extensive damage and the Dodge moderate damage, the report said.
