A woman and a boy, both from New Haven, died following a two-vehicle accident on Sunday morning (June 20) on Hwy. Y south of Ware Church Road in Ware. In addition, a New Haven girl and a Hillsboro man were hurt in the crash, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 10:55 a.m., Tiffany R. Turner, 32, of New Haven was driving a 2006 Chevrolet south on the highway, crossed the center of the road, and the front of the vehicle struck the front of a northbound 2013 Ford Fusion driven by Brian C. Glenn, 27, of Hillsboro. Then, the HHR ran off the road and struck a tree, the report said.

The 12-year-old New Haven boy was pronounced dead at the scene by Valle Ambulance personnel. Turner was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where she was pronounced dead at 11:15 a.m., according to the report.

The 8-year-old New Haven girl was seriously injured and taken by Valle Ambulance to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and Glenn was moderately injured and taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.

Glenn was wearing a seat belt, and neither Turner nor the passengers in the HHR were using safety devices, the patrol reported.

The two vehicles were totaled, the report said.

The highway patrol did not release the names of the children because they are juveniles.
