Karissa L. Sheldon, 23, of Pevely was injured Tuesday evening, July 11, in a one-car accident on Sandy Creek Road west of Moss Hollow Road west of Pevely, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:12 p.m., she was driving a 2008 Ford Taurus east on Sandy Creek Road and ran off the right side of the road, where the car struck a tree, the report said.
Sheldon was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in satisfactory condition today, July 13, a hospital spokesman said.
It’s unknown if she was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
