An Imperial woman, two Cadet men and a Cadet teenager were hurt in a two-vehicle accident at about 8:55 a.m. Thursday (July 14) on Hwy. 21 south of Hwy. 47 in Washington County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Wanda L. Willard, 83, of Imperial was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix south on Hwy. 21 and while attempting to make a left turn into a commuter lot, pulled into the path of a northbound truck, the report sad.
Willard sustained minor injuries, and was taken by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi.
Zachary D. Lessley, 22, of Bixby was driving the truck, a 2016 Dodge 4500. No injuries were reported for him.
However, three passengers in the truck, all from Cadet, were injured -- Bryan Stidem, 40, who was seriously hurt and taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, and Alex Stidem, 20, and Kyle Stidem, 15, both who sustained minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital, according to the report.
Bryan Stidem was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said. No information was available about the condition of Willard and the other two passengers in Lessley’s truck.
Everyone involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, and the truck was extensively damaged, the report said.
