An Imperial woman and a St. Louis man were hurt Monday evening (July 13) in a two-car accident on the West Outer Road south of Rhodes Drive south of Arnold, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:33 p.m., Robert H. Saenger, 92, of St. Louis, in a 2014 Chevrolet Impala, was stopped in a private drive along the West Outer Road facing east and turned left in front of a 2016 Ford Mustang headed south on the West Outer Road, which caused the front of the Mustang to strike the front of the Impala, the report said.
Ashleigh N. Michael, 18, of Imperial was driving the Mustang.
Saenger was moderately injured, and Michael had minor injuries, and they both were taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where they were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
The two were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
Both cars were moderately damaged, the report said.
