Tammie R. Murphy, 59, of Imperial was seriously hurt Monday evening (July 10) in a one-vehicle accident on West Rock Creek Road east of Kruger Lane in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 6:42 p.m., Murphy was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox east on West Rock Creek Road and swerved to avoid an animal in the road, and the SUV ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree, the report said.
Murphy was taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in satisfactory condition this afternoon (July 11), a hospital spokesman said.
She was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The SUV was extensively damaged, the report said.
