An Imperial woman and a Cedar Hill man were injured Monday afternoon (July 12) in a one-car accident at Ware Church and Russell roads south of Ware, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 3:40 p.m., Alicia L. Abrams was driving a 2009 Honda Civic south on Ware Church Road and after traveling through the intersection with Russell Road, the car ran off the road and struck a tree, the report said.
She was seriously injured and taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where she was listed in critical condition on Tuesday evening (July 13), a hospital spokeswoman said.
A passenger in the car – Jason E. Abrams, 43, of Cedar Hill – was moderately injured and taken by Big River Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Neither of the Abrams was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
