A 24-year-old Imperial woman was arrested for allegedly possessing methamphetamine following a crash that injured her on Old Lemay Ferry Road north of Hwy. M in Antonia, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, the woman was driving a northbound 2014 Chevrolet Cruze when it traveled off the right side of the road, struck a tree and a sign, and overturned, the report said.
The woman was moderately injured and taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
According to a hospital spokesman, the woman was treated and released.
At 11:45 a.m., the woman was arrested for possessing meth and held at the hospital until her release.
The woman’s name will not be published unless charges are filed against her and, as of Wednesday morning, Sept. 18, none had been filed.
According to the report, the woman was not wearing a seat belt, and the vehicle was totaled.
