Tyler J. Light, 28, of Imperial was seriously injured early this morning (Aug. 22) in a one-car accident on Wegmann Road near Lee Pyle Road south of Olympian Village, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 12:51 a.m., Light was driving a 1997 Geo Metro west on Wegmann Road and ran off the left side of the road before overcorrecting, and then the car overturned and ran off the right side of the road, ejecting him, the report said.
He was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur.
Light was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the report said.
