Zachary C. Naes, 24, of Imperial was hurt Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 16) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 94 at the entrance to Francis Howell High School in St. Charles County. An O’Fallon teenager and a St. Peters man also were hurt in the accident, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 3:08 p.m., Bryce C. Bowe, 17, of O’Fallon, driving a southbound 2006 Kia Sedona, was leaving Francis Howell High School and had stopped at a flashing red light at the intersection with Hwy. 94 before trying to make a left turn onto eastbound Hwy. 94 and pulling into the path of a pickup headed west on the highway, the report said.
The front of the pickup struck the left side of the minivan, according to the report.
Terry M. Lincoln, 44, of St. Peters was driving the pickup, a 1996 Ford Ranger, and Naes was a passenger in the pickup. Both Lincoln and Naes sustained moderate injuries and were taken by ambulance to SSM St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.
Bowe, who sustained minor injuries, also was taken by ambulance to SSM St. Joseph, the report said.
All three men were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said this morning (Nov. 18).
Both Bowe and Lincoln were wearing seat belts, but Naes was not, the patrol reported.
The minivan and pickup were totaled, the report said.
