Jacob R. Thompson, 21, of Imperial was hurt Thursday afternoon (Jan. 21) in a one-car accident on Old Lemay Ferry Road just south of Seckman Road in Imperial, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 1:10 p.m., Thompson was driving a 2013 Mazda 3 north on Old Lemay Ferry Road and ran off the east side of the road, where the car struck a guardrail before crossing back across the road and striking the guardrail on the west side of the road, the report said.
Thompson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the car, according to the report.
He sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in satisfactory condition this morning, a hospital spokesman said.
The car was totaled, the report said.
