Two Jefferson County women were hurt Thursday evening (March 28) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 30 at La Kenny Lane in unincorporated Fenton, the Missouri State of Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:20 p.m., Sharon B. Hooper, 70, of Imperial was driving a 2007 Cadillac CTS west on Hwy. 30 and while attempting to turn left onto La Kenny Lane, pulled into the path of an eastbound 2012 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Karen S. Choate, 54, of House Springs, and the front of the Cruze struck the passenger-side of the Cadillac, the report said.
Choate was seriously hurt, and Hooper had minor injuries, according to the report.
Both were taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where Hooper was treated and released, and Choate was listed in satisfactory condition Friday afternoon (March 28), a hospital spokesman said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The two vehicles were totaled, the report said.
